Qn. Do the people speak English?
Ans. Duh, of course they do! The World Cup was in Africa, and CHOGM was in Uganda, remember? Plus um, Uganda is a former British colony.

Most people you’ll come in contact with can communicate in English reasonably well. A number of other languages are spoken in Uganda, around 40 to be exact, one for each indigenous cultural group (tribe).

In Kampala, the capital, most people speak Luganda as well, as it’s the language of the natives of Uganda’s central region -the Baganda – where Kampala falls. English is predominant in Kampala, the city being metropolitan.

It’s not likely you’ll have language barrier problems unless you’re headed deep in the rural areas without the aid of an English speaker. Get on that plane with ease, you’ll be right at home here. Should you still have any concerns, we are happy to help. Don’t hesitate to contact us.
